Godzilla Vs. Megaguirus

This movie was a really well done Godzilla movie. It gave a history of Godzilla's
attacks to show what the has occurred in the timeline to set up later happenings in the
movie. It kept a relatively good storyline, though the girl wanting to kill Godzilla
because of Godzilla killing someone dear to her wasn't really all that new.

The Dimension Tide and Plasma Energy were interesting new technologies used in the
movie. It also had a new aerial attack vehicle called the Gryphon. It wasn't used much
for battling like previous ships (ie. Super X 1 & 2), but it did play some role in the
turn out of the movie.

The battle between Godzilla and Megaguirus was a hell of a lot better then I ever
imagined. It's very hard to pull off a good physical battle between a flying monster and
a ground monster, but this movie did it very well. The battle was probably one of the
main highlights of the movie. Megaguirus was a little refreshing to see instead of the
same old monsters (ie. Mothra or MechaGodzilla).

The only real problems I had with the movie was that it took almost 3/4 of the movie for
Megaguirus to even appear (kinda like Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah with King Ghidorah).
Other minor problems would be graphics, but it is a Japanese monster movie so the the
graphics don't need to be perfect. CGI was not overused as i've seen in some movies,
which is a definite plus.

This is a very good movie and a step up from Godzilla 2000. Many G-Fans should like this
movie.
